Iranian students earned seven medals for excellence at the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai. A delegation of 22 Iranian competitors demonstrated technical skills while competing against 1,400 skilled participants from around the world. The prestigious global event brought together young competitors from 70 countries to test their abilities across 64 professions. Consequently, these achievements highlight the growing strength of technical education and vocational training programs across Iran.
Among the top individual performers, Mehran Rasolzadeh secured fourth place in the Mobile Applications Development category. Furthermore, Hasan Safari and Amir-Hossein Zibaei placed fourth in Cyber Security during their competitive events. Mohammad-Saleh Borhani Gilvaei ranked eighth in Cloud Computing following rigorous, multi-day technical assessments. Additionally, teammates Mohammad-Amin Arab-Aminabadi and Amir-Reza Beik-Mohammadlou achieved strong national results in Network Administration and Graphic Design.
These technical achievements build on a series of recent international successes for young Iranian innovators. Earlier this year, 13 young students secured second- and third-place honors at the RobotChallenge event in Beijing. Competing against autonomous robotics teams from 48 countries, the young inventors excelled in the Technical Report and Innovation categories. Moreover, Iranian programmers performed strongly at the international Rayan artificial intelligence and programming competition recently hosted at Sharif University.
International organizers are preparing for the 49th WorldSkills Competition, which is scheduled to take place in Aichi, Japan. Technical educators and government leaders continue using these international results to refine vocational training standards. Meanwhile, Iranian students plan to participate in future innovation fairs to demonstrate emerging technological capabilities globally. These consistent international achievements reflect continued efforts to develop advanced artificial intelligence, engineering, and digital skills.
