Iran’s underground missile sites remain fully operational despite recent US-Israeli strikes, Iranian officials confirmed. The country asserts its Iran missiles capabilities are intact and ready for potential future conflicts.
Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali, head of Iran’s Passive Defense Organization, told reporters on Saturday that almost all underground and submountain missile facilities remain unharmed. He emphasized that the sites continue functioning without any significant issues.
The remarks followed an intense 12-day conflict in June, during which Israel launched aggressive strikes targeting Iranian territory. Iranian officials report that these attacks resulted in over 1,000 casualties, including military personnel and civilians. The United States also reportedly conducted airstrikes on three nuclear sites during the confrontation.
In response, Iran deployed missiles to strike strategic locations across occupied territories and targeted the al-Udeid air base in Qatar, a major U.S. military installation in West Asia. Iranian military officials maintain that these actions were proportionate countermeasures.
Earlier, Brigadier General Mohammadreza Naqdi affirmed that Iran’s missile capability suffered no damage. He stated that the country’s Iran missiles remain fully capable, countering claims from Tel Aviv suggesting partial destruction.
Major General Mohsen Rezaei further explained that Iran prepared for a potential two-month conflict. He described a war strategy focused on delivering progressively stronger strikes while maintaining proper management of military resources.
During the June conflict, U.S. forces reportedly fired more than 100 THAAD interceptors to counter Iranian missile barrages, using nearly a quarter of their stockpile. Two THAAD systems operated in Israel during the confrontation.
Jalali highlighted that Iran continues to strengthen its military readiness. He warned that future aggressions from the U.S. or Israel would meet more powerful responses. He stressed that Iran missiles remain a central element of its defensive and deterrence strategy.
