Iran Belarus ties have become increasingly important as Tehran seeks closer collaboration with Minsk. First Vice President Mohammadreza Aref highlighted that political relations between the two countries remain strong. He also emphasized that their partnership extends to economic, cultural, and scientific areas.

In a meeting with Belarusian Prime Minister Alexander Turchin in Moscow, on the sidelines of the 24th Shanghai Cooperation Organization Council of Heads of Government, Aref outlined plans to expand cooperation. He explained that stronger Iran Belarus ties benefit both nations. He added that their active membership in regional unions, like the Eurasian Union and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, allows collaboration to support the wider region.

Aref described the Iranian President’s recent visit to Minsk as a turning point in the relationship. He encouraged joint investments, production projects, and active involvement from the private sector. He noted that Iran Belarus ties play a key role in advancing mutual growth and development.

Prime Minister Turchin called Iran a friendly and close partner. He expressed confidence that newly signed agreements will strengthen collaboration. He also said that the free trade agreement with the Eurasian Union will boost trade. Turchin announced Belarus’ interest in joint projects and organizing a Belarusian Cultural Day in Iran to enhance people-to-people exchanges.

Both leaders agreed that improving economic, cultural, and scientific links brings tangible benefits. They discussed technology, research, and industrial partnerships. Coordinated efforts, they said, will create sustainable advantages across the region.

The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to deepen cooperation. Iran Belarus ties now serve as a model for regional partnerships. Both governments expressed optimism, emphasizing that strong bilateral relations promote stability and prosperity across Eurasia.
