Iran has strongly condemned Israel aggression in southern Lebanon following a deadly attack near Sidon. Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei denounced the recent assault on the Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp. The attack targeted a mosque and a sports hall, killing and injuring numerous Palestinian refugees.

Baghaei described the attacks as a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter and international law. He emphasized that Israel aggression repeatedly breaks the November 2025 ceasefire agreements. According to the spokesman, the United States must take action to stop Israel’s continued violence against Lebanon and other countries in the region.

Furthermore, Baghaei criticized the silence of ceasefire guarantors, especially the United States. He argued that inaction only encourages further violations and military aggression. He urged the United Nations and international community to hold Israel accountable for its crimes. Baghaei called for prosecuting those responsible for targeting civilians and violating international law.

The Iranian official offered condolences to the families of the martyrs and expressed wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured. He highlighted Iran’s full solidarity with the Lebanese government, people, and resistance movements. Baghaei stressed that the international community must respond decisively to prevent further Israel aggression.

He also noted that repeated breaches of the ceasefire destabilize the region and threaten peace and security. Baghaei stated that failure to act undermines global credibility and encourages future violations. He urged stronger international measures to ensure Israel respects its commitments under international law.

Iran reiterates its condemnation of Israel aggression, calling it an ongoing threat to civilians. The Foreign Ministry spokesman concluded by emphasizing the necessity of united global action. He underscored that accountability and justice are essential to protecting regional stability and preventing future attacks.

Through these statements, Iran aims to mobilize international attention and pressure to stop further violations. Baghaei’s comments reflect the Islamic Republic’s commitment to defending Lebanon and supporting the Palestinian population in refugee camps.
