Iran signals readiness for direct nuclear negotiations with the United States, according to senior security officials. Iran US talks have gained new momentum as Tehran expresses willingness to engage in formal discussions on its nuclear program.

Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, announced on social media that Iran is prepared for serious talks. He emphasized that the discussions would focus on mutual respect and equality. Larijani cautioned Washington not to preemptively declare outcomes before negotiations begin.

“Iran US talks should address real concerns without exaggeration or fear,” Larijani said. He highlighted Iran’s desire to pursue a cooperative and transparent path while maintaining national sovereignty. Larijani has repeatedly stated that Tehran welcomes dialogue, provided it remains balanced and respects international norms.

Earlier this month, Iranian experts warned against unilateral judgments regarding the country’s nuclear capabilities. The warning reflects ongoing sensitivity about uranium enrichment and nuclear infrastructure. Iran has long insisted that its nuclear program remains peaceful, despite global scrutiny.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) issued a new resolution on November 20, urging full and rapid cooperation. It called for unrestricted access to Iran’s nuclear sites, reflecting the urgency of compliance and verification mechanisms. In response, Iran sent a formal letter confirming its willingness to coordinate with the agency, signaling renewed engagement.

Previously, negotiations in Cairo established a framework for collaboration, aiming to reduce tensions and increase transparency. These agreements followed heightened conflict in June between Iran and Israel, which had sparked international concern over potential nuclear escalation. The Cairo framework focused on restoring trust and creating channels for continuous dialogue.

Experts suggest that successful Iran US talks could stabilize regional security and facilitate economic cooperation. However, analysts warn that both parties must manage domestic pressures and geopolitical sensitivities carefully. The coming weeks may see technical committees and expert groups forming to prepare for official high-level meetings.

Iran US talks carry significant implications for global nuclear policy, Middle Eastern security, and diplomatic relations with major powers. Observers expect that clear communication and adherence to agreed principles will be essential to achieving lasting results.
