Iran Pakistan trade relations strengthened as both countries signed over $4 million in trade commitments. The deals took place during the 2025 Karachi International Agriculture and Food Exhibition, the largest agricultural event in Karachi. A 12-member Iranian commercial delegation attended the exhibition and held meetings with Pakistani companies in citrus, rice, and meat sectors. Their active participation demonstrated Iran Pakistan trade efforts to expand private-sector engagement.

During the exhibition, both sides signed three memorandums of understanding covering trade commitments exceeding $4 million. Companies from both countries are finalizing additional agreements in other sectors. Pakistan’s ambassador to Tehran, Mohammad Mudassir Tipu, emphasized that these agreements highlight Iran’s private sector commitment to collaborating with Pakistani businesses.

The exhibition allowed Iranian and Pakistani companies to explore new markets, discuss trade strategies, pricing, and logistics, and identify potential joint ventures. Analysts said these discussions could increase trade volume and enhance cooperation in the coming years. Experts noted the deals represent a strategic step in strengthening regional economic ties. Agriculture and food sectors remain vital for both nations, offering opportunities to support domestic markets and increase exports.

They suggest that Iran Pakistan trade could grow further if both governments maintain engagement and reduce trade barriers. Officials also emphasized that closer trade ties contribute to regional stability and economic diversification. They encouraged continuous dialogue and stronger business cooperation to achieve mutual benefits. Looking forward, Iranian and Pakistani business communities plan to expand interactions and explore more cooperation opportunities.

Future exhibitions and trade missions could generate additional agreements and strengthen Iran Pakistan trade relations further. The success of the Karachi exhibition demonstrates the growing momentum of bilateral trade. Strong support from both governments and private sectors positions Iran Pakistan trade for steady expansion in agriculture and food industries.
