Iran executed Ali Ardestani, a convicted Mossad agent, following a full legal process and Supreme Court approval. The case underscores Tehran’s strict stance on national security. Authorities said Mossad agent activities threatened the country’s safety and required strong countermeasures. Ardestani, son of Ahmad, faced execution after courts convicted him of spying for Israel’s intelligence service. Officials stated he deliberately provided sensitive information, including images of key locations and details on targeted individuals.

Investigators revealed that Mossad recruited him online. He carried out assigned tasks in exchange for payments and false promises. Furthermore, authorities reported that he received payments in cryptocurrency, keeping the operations hidden. He also met a Mossad-linked individual inside Iran multiple times to hand over information. Judicial documents, confessions, and evidence proved Ardestani knowingly transferred sensitive data to Mossad officers. Officials highlighted the serious threat this posed to Iran’s national security. Experts emphasized that this case demonstrates the ongoing danger of cyber and human espionage.

Iranian authorities ensured Ardestani received fair judicial proceedings at every stage. After lower courts’ review, the Supreme Court upheld his sentence. Authorities stressed that strict measures against espionage deter future operations by foreign intelligence services. Analysts noted that Iran faces growing challenges from regional and international spy networks. They added that Mossad agent cases show the increasing use of digital recruitment and covert communications.

Moreover, officials said the execution serves as a clear warning to anyone tempted to engage in espionage. Looking ahead, Iran plans to increase monitoring of cyber activities and strengthen counterintelligence operations. Observers believe Tehran will maintain a firm stance against threats. Consequently, Mossad agent operations in the region will remain under strict scrutiny.
