Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has ordered Iran to start nuclear talks with the United States. Officials in Tehran confirmed that the president wants to reopen discussions on the nuclear issue. Nuclear talks aim to reduce tensions and strengthen Iran’s national interests. The Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the country is carefully planning the structure of the talks. Officials emphasized that they will focus on lifting sanctions while protecting Iran’s rights. They added that Iran will take a cautious and time-sensitive approach during negotiations.

Sources in Tehran reported that Iran and the United States could begin talks in the coming days. Senior officials from both countries will participate. The meetings will likely include Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi and US special envoy Steve Witkoff. Araghchi recently visited Turkey to support ongoing diplomatic efforts. Meanwhile, U.S. officials stated that Washington is ready to hold discussions soon. Turkey, Egypt, and Qatar are helping to organize a meeting between the two sides. The meeting may take place in Ankara.

Iran and the United States have a history of nuclear talks. Before the recent conflict, both countries held five rounds of indirect negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program. Israel’s attacks on Iranian nuclear sites disrupted plans for a sixth round. These strikes killed hundreds of people, including senior Iranian military leaders. Iran criticized the United States for attacking nuclear facilities instead of condemning the strikes. Tehran has repeatedly urged the U.S. and Europe to show sincerity in rebuilding trust. Officials insist that Washington must respect Iran’s rights and stop making excessive demands.

Experts say nuclear talks remain crucial to prevent further conflict. Both countries face pressure to reach an agreement that addresses security concerns and sanctions. President Pezeshkian’s decision signals a new phase in Iran-U.S. relations and a restart of dialogue after heightened tensions. Analysts expect nuclear talks to focus on practical steps and mutual understanding. Both Iran and the United States have expressed a willingness to discuss terms carefully. Observers believe successful talks could ease regional tensions and restore a framework for diplomacy.
