Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized in a phone call that Iran’s diplomacy effort remains central to maintaining regional stability. He said Iran will not target countries that do not use their territory, airspace, or waters for attacks. The call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed tensions following recent US-Israeli military actions against Iran.

Pezeshkian rejected media claims that Iran had launched missile strikes against Turkey. He proposed forming a joint Iran-Turkey technical team to investigate and clarify false allegations spread by hostile sources. He stressed that Iran remains committed to reducing regional tensions while defending its sovereignty.

President Erdogan expressed condolences for the martyrdom of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. He also mourned the deaths of innocent civilians, including approximately 170 young girls in the Minab school attack. Erdogan congratulated Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei on assuming leadership and wished him success.

He reaffirmed Turkey’s opposition to foreign interference in Iran’s internal affairs. Erdogan noted that rising tensions in the region harm all parties. He confirmed that Turkey has no plans for confrontation and fully understands Iran’s challenges. Erdogan also said that Turkey is ready to support de-escalation and strengthen diplomatic channels.

Analysts said the phone call demonstrates a strong Iran diplomacy effort aimed at building regional trust. Observers noted that joint investigation teams and open communication could prevent misinformation from escalating conflicts. The dialogue signals both countries’ willingness to cooperate on security, humanitarian issues, and crisis management.

Experts added that this Iranian diplomatic effort can enhance regional stability and strengthen bilateral relations. The talks may establish structured communication channels to reduce misunderstandings or accidental escalation. Officials from both sides plan follow-up technical discussions to address misinformation and advance peace initiatives.

Overall, the phone conversation reflects a proactive Iranian diplomacy effort to maintain stability, defend sovereignty, and foster constructive relations. By promoting transparency and collaboration, both leaders aim to prevent conflict, protect civilians, and enhance long-term regional security. The discussion reinforces Iran’s focus on sovereignty, diplomacy, and sustainable peace in the region.
