Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian declared on Tuesday that Iran Resists Aggression and will not yield to foreign pressure. He also called on the international community to condemn the recent U.S.-Israeli offensive and ensure compliance with international law. Pezeshkian reflected on his conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday. During the discussion, he emphasized that Iran did not initiate this war and stressed the unprovoked nature of the attack.
He underscored that defending Iran’s sovereignty is a natural right, adding that the country has long mastered protective measures against external threats. Furthermore, he warned that regional US military bases, if used against Tehran, must be neutralized to restore stability. Pezeshkian also highlighted that peace in the region is impossible while Zionist-American forces target Iranian territory. Consequently, he urged global powers to condemn these actions and demand that aggressors follow international law.
The president described the attack as a “medieval act in the twenty-first century,” carried out with false intelligence and expansionist motives. He added that discussions about halting aggression would be meaningless without guarantees that Iranian soil remains safe. This escalation began on February 28, when the United States and Israel launched strikes targeting Iran’s leadership. Former Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and several top military commanders were killed during the attacks.
In retaliation, Iran launched missile and drone strikes against Israeli-occupied territories and US bases in the region. Analysts note that these measures reflect Iran Resists Aggression not only militarily but also strategically, sending a strong message to its adversaries. The crisis carries wide geopolitical implications. In addition to threatening regional trade and energy routes, it could strain diplomatic relations. Experts warn that, without intervention or dialogue, the conflict might further destabilize the Middle East.
Looking ahead, Pezeshkian affirmed that Iran will maintain a strong defensive posture. He emphasized that international enforcement of law and restraint is essential to prevent further attacks, signaling a potential period of prolonged tensions. Through these statements, the repeated message is clear: Iran Resists Aggression and expects global recognition and respect.
