A major security crackdown has unfolded in western Tehran. Police there arrested 235 individuals. These suspects allegedly worked with US and Israeli intelligence. Courts later imprisoned 93 of them. The police command announced this on Monday. They said the goal was to prevent unrest. These individuals tried to destabilize the country. They also organized anti-state protests. Moreover, they spread pro-US and pro-Israeli propaganda. They sent videos to a foreign-based Farsi channel. That channel often criticizes Iranian authorities.

Another security crackdown happened in Khuzestan Province. Police arrested 138 people there last Monday. These individuals cooperated with hostile media networks. Specifically, they worked with two foreign-based outlets. Police used technical intelligence to find them. The entire operation took 72 hours. Authorities said the suspects shared classified images. They also coordinated with anti-state elements abroad.

The security crackdown relies on public cooperation. Citizens must report suspicious behavior quickly. This helps prevent destructive activities. It also stops efforts to create insecurity. Police have set up special hotlines for tips. They also increased patrols in sensitive areas. These arrests follow external aggression. The US and Israel launched unprovoked actions in late February. Iran’s intelligence bodies responded firmly. They detained many subversive elements before any major unrest. Meanwhile, Iran’s armed forces conducted retaliatory strikes. These strikes hit several known hostile positions. The military reported successful outcomes.

Foreign-backed unrest threatens national stability. Iran sees these arrests as a preventive measure. The police aim to dismantle hostile networks completely. They also want to discourage future recruitment by foreign agencies. Many observers see a clear pattern here. Iran increases internal security when external pressure rises. This strategy has worked before. Similar arrests in 2022 prevented larger riots. Officials warn of more operations ahead. Police will continue monitoring suspicious activities across the country. They will also share intelligence across all provinces.

The government supports these actions fully. Courts will process remaining suspects within weeks. Some face charges of espionage. Others face charges of acting against national security. The security crackdown shows Iran’s resolve. It also signals zero tolerance for foreign interference. Public vigilance remains the first line of defense. Authorities urge everyone to stay alert. Police have also arrested 12 facilitators. These people provided money and equipment to the suspects.

Investigators found encrypted phones and cash. The total amount seized exceeds one million dollars. Any future unrest will face swift legal action. Police have created rapid response teams. These teams can arrest suspects within hours. The military also stands ready to assist. Iran’s leadership has praised the police effort. They called it a model for other provinces. Further announcements are expected next week.
