A senior Iranian commander reaffirmed Iran military readiness, saying the nation’s forces are fully prepared to counter any aggression. His remarks underscored Tehran’s focus on deterrence as regional tensions remain high. Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, Deputy Coordinator of the Iranian Army, spoke during the 4th World Armies Archery Championship (WAC 2025). The event took place at the National Archery Federation venue in Tehran. Sayyari praised the country’s young and skilled soldiers, calling them motivated and ready to defend Iran’s land, sea, and airspace.

He explained that Iran’s armed forces draw their strength from unity and advanced technology. Regular training, joint drills, and equipment upgrades have strengthened coordination between ground, air, and naval units. His remarks highlight Tehran’s ongoing effort to demonstrate strength and deter adversaries. In recent months, Iran has expanded its defense industries and unveiled new drones, radar systems, and naval weapons to counter regional threats.

Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik, Deputy for Strategic Planning and spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, also addressed Iran’s progress. He said that since the 12-day war, the country’s capabilities in armament, logistics, and operations have improved sharply. Talaei-Nik stated that Iran military readiness now surpasses previous levels and serves as a powerful deterrent. He added that, despite 15 years of enemy planning before the 12-day conflict, the aggressor failed to achieve its goals.

He warned that any new attack would face a stronger and faster Iranian response. According to him, Iran’s upgraded defense systems and offensive reach make confrontation risky for its opponents. The 12-day conflict began on June 13, when Israel launched a surprise strike against Iranian targets. The assault caused more than 1,000 casualties, including military officers and civilians.

Iran retaliated by striking strategic sites in the occupied territories and U.S. bases across the region. One of the main targets was Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the largest U.S. military site in West Asia. Iranian attacks damaged Israeli command centers and airbases, demonstrating advanced targeting capability. Tehran later condemned U.S. strikes on its nuclear facilities as a violation of international law.

Iran military readiness continues to shape regional dynamics. Analysts believe that Tehran’s deterrence strategy has changed the balance of power in West Asia. They say adversaries now hesitate to provoke a direct clash. As Iran strengthens its defense strategy, observers expect more regional cooperation and new deterrence measures. The leadership insists that a strong military is vital for protecting sovereignty and ensuring long-term stability.
