Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei explicitly held the United States responsible for recent Israeli military operations against Iran during his weekly press conference. Consequently, this statement marks a significant escalation in diplomatic rhetoric between Tehran and Washington amid growing Middle East instability.

Baghaei asserted that Washington bears direct accountability for any aggressive actions occurring within the region. Furthermore, the spokesman emphasized that American responsibility remains clear whether actions occur through direct naval interference or via proxy operations in Lebanon. He noted that the consequences of this expanding conflict will ultimately fall upon the American government.

American defense officials quickly clarified that United States military forces had no active participation in the recent overnight strikes. Despite these denials, Tehran maintains that the United States Central Command provides critical offensive and defensive coordination for Israeli operations. This strategic alignment, according to Iranian officials, deeply implicates Washington in the ongoing regional violence.

Journalists also questioned the spokesman regarding alleged military strikes targeting the Prince Sultan Air Base located in Saudi Arabia. In response, Baghaei stated that the Iranian armed forces consistently declare responsibility for their military operations. This careful response avoids direct confirmation while maintaining Tehran’s established policy of strategic ambiguity regarding specific target locations.

The ongoing conflict highlights the deep geopolitical divisions currently reshaping diplomatic relations across the entire Middle East. Consequently, regional analysts fear that these continuous accusations could trigger broader military confrontations involving multiple international powers. For now, diplomatic channels remain severely strained as all participating nations monitor the next military maneuvers.
