The Iran National Science Foundation recently finalized a major bilateral funding agreement with the National Natural Science Foundation of China. This sixth collaborative initiative will directly finance fifteen critical research initiatives managed by university faculty members. Each chosen research group will receive fifty billion rials to support their scientific operations. Consequently, this financial commitment represents roughly twenty-eight thousand eight hundred dollars per project.

The comprehensive research grants will guarantee financial stability for a minimum period of three full years. Furthermore, the participating science organizations will distribute these economic resources across several vital technological sectors. The primary funding categories emphasize advanced water resource management alongside innovative energy storage systems. Additionally, selected researchers will develop automated irrigation networks designed specifically for highly saline agricultural environments.

Scientists will also investigate sophisticated desalination techniques to process brackish water and seawater more efficiently. Meanwhile, the biotechnology sector will receive significant funding to improve strategic crop yields across both nations. Researchers plan to use molecular breeding techniques to build stronger resistance against severe drought and heat. They will also explore microbial biotechnology to manufacture sustainable bio-fertilizers and enhance global food security.

The international research teams will simultaneously develop recombinant drugs and novel drug delivery systems utilizing nano-carriers. Earlier this year, both foundations also signed separate cooperation agreements focusing heavily on traditional medical practices. These earlier agreements established joint research parameters for evaluating both Persian and Chinese traditional medicine. Therefore, modern digital tools and artificial intelligence will help analyze these ancient clinical treatments.

The energy segment of the alliance prioritizes renewable energy integration into existing national power grids. Furthermore, engineers will analyze high-efficiency utilization methods for conventional energy sources during the three-year period. This scientific partnership highlights a growing strategic alliance between major academic institutions in the Middle East and Asia. Ultimately, the Iran National Science Foundation aims to deliver practical engineering solutions for modern environmental crises.
