Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi rejected Western criticism of Iran’s domestic judicial practices following international condemnation. More than 30 countries and European officials jointly criticized Tehran over concerns about its human rights record. Consequently, the Iranian foreign minister urged Western capitals, including Paris, to stop lecturing Iran on moral standards. Additionally, Araghchi argued that Western nations lack credibility because of their recent policies in the Middle East.

Addressing international critics on social media, Araghchi accused Western nations of displaying clear hypocrisy. Furthermore, he asserted that French support for Israeli military operations had undermined Europe’s moral authority. Therefore, Tehran firmly dismissed the foreign statements while defending its judicial sovereignty against external political interference. Instead, Iranian diplomats called on European governments to respect international legal standards and avoid political double standards.

A coalition including Britain, Canada, and European countries demanded an immediate halt to executions. The signatories argued that Iranian authorities use capital punishment to suppress peaceful dissent and public gatherings. Moreover, international human rights organizations have expressed growing concern over the rising number of death sentences in Iran. In response, United Nations monitors have repeatedly requested independent international access to assess judicial conditions.

Global observers highlight how escalating regional conflicts further complicate diplomatic dialogue with Iranian authorities. Besides diplomatic disputes, Western governments continue to consider additional financial sanctions targeting specific Iranian security agencies. Hence, tensions between major European nations and Tehran continue to escalate across multiple international forums.

Looking ahead, international analysts expect persistent geopolitical tensions to hinder progress on human rights issues. Consequently, both sides maintain firm diplomatic positions while regional instability deepens existing political divisions. Ultimately, significant ideological differences remain a major obstacle to constructive diplomatic engagement.
