U.S. military strikes targeted three locations across Iran’s southwestern province of Khuzestan on Tuesday night. Local security officials said the overnight missile strikes killed seven people and injured eight others. The attacks marked a sharp escalation in active military operations between American and Iranian forces.

Valiollah Hayati, Khuzestan’s deputy governor for security affairs, reported direct hits on key locations. Missile strikes reportedly impacted infrastructure in Ahvaz and Aghajari during the late-night operation. Emergency services dispatched search teams to clear debris and treat survivors at nearby medical facilities.

American airstrikes struck strategic coastal areas across the southern province of Hormozgan. One strike hit the rural village of Dehestak in the Sirik district. Local health officials said the attack struck a gathering during a family wedding celebration.

The attack on the wedding gathering killed at least five civilians, including a young child. More than 60 guests were reportedly injured by shrapnel and required immediate medical treatment at provincial hospitals. Iranian officials condemned the civilian casualties resulting from the coastal strikes.

The strikes represent the latest escalation in the widening conflict across the Middle East. Regional defense analysts warn that attacks affecting civilian-populated areas could trigger further retaliation from Tehran. Global commodity markets are also highly sensitive to potential disruptions along critical trade routes in the region.

Governments across the region are closely monitoring the military operations while preparing for potential economic instability. Iranian authorities continue assessing structural damage in Ahvaz, Aghajari, and the coastal areas of Sirik. International diplomatic observers have urged immediate restraint as military forces maintain heightened readiness across the region.
