Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei strongly condemned recent U.S. airstrikes that hit southern coastal regions on Tuesday night. He said an American missile strike destroyed a residential home in the village of Kuhestak, where local families had gathered to celebrate a traditional wedding.

The strike reportedly resulted in more than 50 civilian casualties, including men, women, and children, in Sirik. Baghaei said the incident adds to what he described as a growing list of U.S. crimes against Iran. He also cited previous military incidents, including strikes on a school in Minab and a sports complex in Lamerd.

The spokesman emphasized that the normalization of routine bombings poses a greater threat than the explosive munitions themselves. He also warned that international silence over such actions could grant perceived legitimacy to military aggression. Tehran called on global powers to reject the attacks in order to uphold international law and protect regional security.

A spokesperson for U.S. Central Command also addressed emerging reports of civilian casualties in Kuhestak. The military official said CENTCOM personnel were actively monitoring information regarding reported non-combatant fatalities in southern Iran. However, CENTCOM stated that U.S. forces do not intentionally target civilians during combat operations.

The contrasting statements highlight the dangers of further escalation as cross-border military engagements continue to expand. Diplomatic channels remain severely strained while the two sides continue exchanging strikes across the region. International observers are calling for immediate verification of the reported civilian casualties to establish the full impact of the attack and prevent a wider conflict.
