AI Innovation Expo: Iran Hosts First International AI Event

Tehran will host the first international AI Innovation Expo from January 12 to 15, 2026. The event will take place at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds. First, AI Innovation Expo will bring together top companies working in artificial intelligence and technology. Moreover, over 50 leading firms will participate with government support.

The goal of the AI Innovation Expo is to improve connections between knowledge-based companies, innovation centers, financial institutions, and major industries. In addition, visitors will see the newest AI developments from Iran and around the world.

The exhibition will hold panels about AI applications in healthcare, energy, urban planning, finance, and manufacturing. Meanwhile, attendees can join hands-on workshops. These activities will allow experts to share knowledge and encourage business cooperation. Furthermore, the event will include networking opportunities between businesses and government organizations.

Iran has seen strong growth in AI research. For example, its ranking in global AI scientific production has moved from 33 to 30, placing the country among the top 50 worldwide. In the region, Iran ranks between 14 and 17. Officials are optimistic that these numbers will improve further in the next two years. Additionally, Iran is developing AI infrastructure, including AI platforms and AI assistants.

The government is also working to improve its use of AI. According to reports, Iran now ranks 91st out of 188 countries in government AI readiness. As a result, the country is making progress in public service delivery. Notably, Iran’s best performance is in data and infrastructure, which has improved significantly.

With the AI Innovation Expo, Iran hopes to attract more investment and encourage the export of local AI technologies. Overall, the exhibition promises to highlight the country’s progress and inspire collaboration between companies, experts, and government organizations. Finally, the AI Innovation Expo is expected to be a major milestone for Iran’s AI industry. It will also showcase innovation, boost business partnerships, and promote knowledge sharing.
