Hamidreza Mohammadi, the founder of Ganjoor, received the prestigious National Parsi-jan Award at a ceremony in Tehran. The annual event took place at Sooreh Hall within Tehran’s Art Bureau to honor contributions to Persian literature. Organized by the Office for the Preservation of the Persian Language, the program recognized key figures across technology, journalism, and music. Consequently, organizers presented Mohammadi with the National Insignia and Golden Cypress for his pioneering digital efforts.

Ganjoor functions as an indispensable digital library containing thousands of classical and modern Persian poems. The searchable online repository provides free global access to foundational works by iconic poets such as Hafez, Rumi, and Khayyam. While accepting the top honor, Mohammadi stated that the award reflects the collective dedication of thousands of digital contributors. He emphasized that community volunteers built the platform over many years to preserve Iran’s literary heritage.

Jury members evaluated six nominated candidates representing various professional sectors connected to language preservation. Notable nominees included traditional vocalist Mohammad Motamedi and representatives from the messaging platform Bale. Award secretary Nasser Feiz explained that the initiative celebrates voluntary actions that safeguard Persian cultural identity worldwide. He noted that modern linguistic preservation requires active community engagement beyond traditional academic institutions.

Scientific secretary Seyyed Ali Mirfattah stressed that society carries a fundamental duty to pass down its literary traditions intact. He called for stronger protective measures regarding language usage across administrative, legal, and educational structures. The ceremony demonstrated how modern digital technology can successfully connect new generations with historical literary treasures. Ultimately, Ganjoor’s national recognition highlights the increasing importance of digital archiving in preserving global cultural heritage.
