General Abdolrahim Mousavi said Iran does not want to start a regional war. Despite this position, he stressed that the country stands fully ready to defend itself. These remarks came during a military meeting in Tehran. Senior commanders from the Army Air and Air Defense forces attended the gathering. In Iran, this date marks National Army Air Force Day. The day honors the role of the air force in modern Iranian history. During his speech, Mousavi said Iran follows a clear regional war stance.

According to him, the country prefers stability over conflict. At the same time, he said the armed forces remain on full alert. In his words, Iran can respond strongly to any attack. He also congratulated military personnel on the Ten-Day Dawn celebrations. These celebrations mark the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Mousavi said Iran’s army relies on faith and national unity. He added that defending sovereignty remains a top priority. Turning to history, he spoke about the Iranian Air Force. Mousavi praised its role during the Iran-Iraq war. That conflict lasted from 1980 to 1988.

According to the general, the air force showed courage and creativity. After the revolution, it succeeded without foreign military advisers. He said those years built lasting confidence. That confidence still shapes Iran’s military doctrine today Later, Mousavi referred to last June’s conflict with Israel. He described the event as short but serious. During the confrontation, air and defense units performed well. They showed strong readiness and coordination under pressure. This experience, he said, proved current defense capabilities. It also showed that preparation levels remain high. Mousavi repeated Iran’s regional war stance during his remarks. He stressed that Iran does not seek to widen tensions.

However, he warned that any forced war would bring consequences. According to him, attackers would face the results first. He directly named the United States and Israel. He said they would bear responsibility for any escalation. Mousavi stressed that Iran will not stay silent under threat. In such cases, the armed forces will respond quickly and decisively. To conclude, he praised military personnel for their discipline. He thanked them for maintaining constant readiness. Mousavi said peace remains Iran’s choice. Yet defense remains Iran’s duty under its regional war stance.
