In Iran, medical costs rise has created serious challenges for citizens seeking healthcare. Many people with limited incomes are now avoiding doctor visits and prescriptions. Rising expenses force patients to choose between their health and finances.

Ahmad Ariyainejad, a member of the Parliament’s Health Committee, said that in 2025, medical costs rise to levels beyond what most families can afford. He added that people often endure illness at home because they cannot pay for treatment. Some patients turn to herbal remedies, but these do not always provide proper care.

Another Health Committee member explained that the problem affects the entire country, especially underserved regions. In these areas, access to essential medicines is limited and prices remain extremely high. Patients now worry not only about their illnesses but also about covering treatment costs.

Experts warn that using herbal medicine without guidance can create serious health risks. At the same time, some domestically produced drugs may not meet proper quality standards. Parliament members have called for a review of local products to ensure safety and effectiveness.

Recent changes in government policies, including currency adjustments, have contributed to rising healthcare costs. Medicines, medical equipment, and treatments have all become significantly more expensive. Many citizens now visit multiple pharmacies just to obtain necessary drugs.

Studies show that households now spend a much larger share of their income on healthcare. People often delay doctor visits until conditions worsen, making treatment more complicated and costly. Dental care, for example, is frequently postponed until pain becomes unbearable, requiring extra procedures.

Health officials warn that without urgent intervention, the situation will continue to worsen. They stress the need for policies to lower costs and ensure medicine availability. Medical costs rise continues to affect daily life, forcing families to make difficult decisions about care and spending.

In conclusion, high medical expenses are creating a public health challenge in Iran. Citizens struggle to access affordable care, and medical costs rise remains a critical concern. Immediate action is necessary to prevent serious consequences for patients nationwide.
