Iran’s Army Air Defense Force is advancing unique indigenous military systems toward mass production following final technical evaluations. Brigadier General Alireza Elhami announced that Iranian engineers designed these advanced platforms without relying on foreign technical designs. Consequently, the development underscores Iran’s growing focus on domestic military manufacturing and technological self-reliance.

Military leaders highlighted the operational effectiveness of these proprietary systems during recent armed conflicts. Specifically, Iranian defense forces deployed early prototypes during a major 40-day military confrontation. According to official reports, these specialized defensive units successfully neutralized more than 200 hostile aircraft.

Commanders cited limited foreign intelligence about the systems’ specifications as a decisive operational advantage on the battlefield. Hostile forces often failed to determine which defensive platforms carried out specific interception operations during engagements. Therefore, this tactical ambiguity prevented opposing forces from developing effective electronic countermeasures or evasion strategies.

Currently, engineering teams are conducting rigorous field evaluations to complete final operational adjustments. Once the systems meet formal legal and technical requirements, state manufacturing facilities will begin full-scale production. Furthermore, defense officials plan to rapidly replicate successful designs to strengthen national airspace coverage.

This manufacturing expansion reflects broader regional security dynamics and evolving defense acquisition strategies. By expanding domestic production capabilities, Iranian military planners aim to reduce reliance on external arms suppliers. Moving forward, military authorities expect these indigenous air defense platforms to enter active operational service.
