Iran and Iraq Foreign Ministers Discuss Nuclear Talks and Regional Issues

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi spoke by phone with Iraq’s Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein. The call focused on recent regional and international developments, according to an official statement. During the call, the two ministers reviewed the current situation in the region. They also discussed several international issues of shared concern. Both sides stressed the importance of continued diplomatic contacts between the two countries.

Araghchi briefed his Iraqi counterpart on the latest developments in nuclear talks between Iran and the United States. He explained Iran’s views and outlined recent progress in the negotiations.
