Iran and UAE foreign ministers recently held a phone call to discuss regional developments and the ongoing Iran-US nuclear talks. Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s foreign minister, spoke with Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the foreign minister of the United Arab Emirates. They emphasized the importance of cooperation between Tehran and Abu Dhabi.

During the call, Araghchi briefed his Emirati counterpart on the status of indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States. He explained that discussions are continuing through intermediaries. Moreover, he shared Iran’s perspectives and expectations as the talks progressed. This shows the role of Iran and the UAE in coordinating international diplomatic issues.

The two ministers also exchanged views on the broader Middle East situation. They discussed political and security developments and highlighted the need for calm. In addition, they stressed collaboration among neighboring countries. Both officials noted that countries in the region share common interests, including security, economic stability, and peaceful development.

Araghchi and Abdullah bin Zayed emphasized regular consultation. Closer communication can prevent misunderstandings and reduce tensions. They also underlined the importance of protecting shared interests, since instability in one country can affect the whole region. Furthermore, they highlighted the value of diplomatic channels in managing disagreements and crises effectively.

The phone call reflects ongoing diplomatic engagement between Tehran and Abu Dhabi. In recent years, Iran and the UAE have maintained continuous dialogue. This demonstrates a mutual commitment to open communication on major regional and international issues. Experts say such interactions are essential in navigating the Middle East’s complex political and security landscape.

As Iran-US nuclear discussions continue and regional pressures grow, meetings between Iran and UAE officials remain crucial. They help foster understanding, reduce risks, and support long-term stability. Strong cooperation between the two nations contributes to a more secure and stable Middle East.
