Iran has strongly condemned recent Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon, calling for urgent international action. Moreover, officials said the Israeli airstrikes targeted civilian areas, industrial zones, and public infrastructure. Tehran expressed solidarity with the Lebanese government and people amid growing tensions. Esmail Baghaei, spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, issued a statement on Tuesday. He noted that the Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa region violated international law. Baghaei also offered condolences to affected families and demanded accountability for Israel’s actions.

According to reports, the attacks struck multiple towns, including Al-Manara in Bekaa, and Anan and Ain Al-Tina in southern Lebanon. Damage to homes and public facilities raised serious concerns about civilian safety. Furthermore, Iran emphasized that these operations repeatedly violated the ceasefire agreement over the past year. Baghaei said the Israeli airstrikes contravened the United Nations Charter and international law. Therefore, he urged the UN, regional powers, and the global community to respond decisively. In addition, Iran stressed that stronger measures are needed to confront Israel’s ongoing military operations.

Analysts warn that repeated airstrikes could destabilize Lebanon further. Especially since the country faces economic and political challenges. Consequently, attacks risk escalating regional tensions and complicating diplomatic efforts. Observers highlight that enforcing ceasefire agreements is crucial to protect civilians. Iran’s condemnation reflects broader geopolitical concerns. By highlighting the Israeli airstrikes, Tehran signals its commitment to regional allies. Experts suggest that sustained international pressure may also deter future attacks and promote stability.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese government is assessing damage and coordinating humanitarian support. International actors plan urgent UN meetings to address the situation. Additionally, diplomatic measures may include sanctions or interventions to hold Israel accountable. The situation shows the urgency for global powers to act. Otherwise, failure to respond could trigger further political and humanitarian crises.
