The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official statement condemning recent U.S. strikes on commercial vessels. The government described the American actions as illegal acts of military aggression in regional waters. Officials warned that the operations violate the United Nations Charter and constitute serious international law violations.

The diplomatic statement emphasized that American maritime attacks threaten international peace and commercial shipping security. Tehran stated that Washington and its regional partners must bear full responsibility for any subsequent consequences. Furthermore, the Foreign Ministry reiterated its firm resolve to defend national sovereignty against foreign aggression.

The diplomatic protests followed an official announcement by U.S. Central Command regarding targeted military strikes. CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper stated that American forces had targeted three Iranian commercial crude oil carriers. He explicitly warned that an attack on two American ships would result in the loss of three Iranian vessels.

American military leaders justified the operations as direct retaliation for recent Iranian ballistic missile launches. According to U.S. statements, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had targeted two patrolling U.S. Navy warships. Consequently, American forces struck the Iranian oil tankers to impose immediate financial costs on Tehran.

The ongoing exchange of naval strikes threatens global commodity movements through critical energy supply chokepoints. International shipping companies are closely monitoring the rapid military escalation across the Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman. Moving forward, diplomatic observers urge both military powers to avoid further destructive maritime actions and pursue de-escalation.
