Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Iran’s defense strength has dramatically improved compared to the period before the 12-day war. He emphasized that Tehran does not seek conflict but is prepared to respond decisively if provoked.

Pezeshkian made these remarks during a meeting with the governor and parliamentary representatives of Kerman province on Tuesday. He highlighted the country’s strengthened military capabilities and warned that any aggression from the Zionist enemy would provoke a swift and severe response.

According to Pezeshkian, the threat from the Zionist enemy aims to divide and weaken Iran and other Islamic nations. He stressed that unity among Islamic countries remains critical to counter these threats effectively. The president also reinforced that Iran’s defense strength is now incomparable to its previous state, demonstrating substantial advancements in deterrence and readiness.

Experts note that Iran has invested heavily in modernizing its defense systems over the past decade. Recent developments include advanced missile technology, fortified border defenses, and enhanced cyber capabilities. These investments have significantly increased the country’s strategic leverage and military resilience in the region.

Pezeshkian’s statements come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing international scrutiny of Iran’s defense programs. Analysts suggest that such declarations serve multiple purposes: reassuring domestic audiences, signaling deterrence to potential adversaries, and reinforcing Iran’s geopolitical influence. The president’s emphasis on unity highlights a broader political strategy to strengthen alliances within the Islamic world.

In practical terms, Iran’s defense strength now includes improved surveillance, rapid-response forces, and integrated command systems. Officials report that these upgrades allow Iran to respond more effectively to regional crises and potential threats. Furthermore, military exercises conducted recently underscore the country’s growing operational readiness and tactical proficiency.

Looking forward, Pezeshkian indicated that Iran will continue investing in national security while promoting regional stability. The government plans to maintain strong defense capabilities without seeking conflict, underscoring a policy of deterrence rather than aggression. Analysts predict that Iran’s enhanced military posture will influence future diplomatic negotiations and regional security calculations.

Iran’s defense strength, therefore, not only represents military advancement but also serves as a key instrument in the country’s broader geopolitical strategy. As Pezeshkian highlighted, this strength ensures Iran can protect its interests and contribute to regional stability in a challenging international environment.
