Karbala Governor Naseef Jassim al-Khattabi publicly expressed his condolences during a formal meeting with the Iranian delegation. Furthermore, Khattabi confirmed that his administration is fully prepared to receive the massive influx of pilgrims. The governor also condemned the unprovoked American-Israeli military aggression that caused the Iranian leader’s recent death. Araghchi praised the Iraqi government for facilitating these complex ceremonies at the holy shrines this month.
