Iran Russia ties were highlighted at the annual charity bazaar hosted by the Diplomatic Ladies Association in Tehran. This event gathers embassies, cultural centers, and charitable groups to promote humanitarian work and cultural exchange. Each year, the bazaar provides a vibrant platform for friendship and cooperation among nations. Moreover, embassies present traditional products, handicrafts, and foods, donating all proceeds to Iranian charities, especially those aiding children and vulnerable families.

The Russian Embassy has actively participated in this event for many years. This year, Chargé d’Affaires Rafael Gevorkyan spoke with local media at the bazaar. He emphasized the deep historical and cultural relations between Iran and Russia. Furthermore, Gevorkyan described the two countries as friendly and brotherly neighbors. He also highlighted that Iran Russia ties have strengthened over centuries through shared traditions and cultural influences.

Gevorkyan recalled that Persian tiles arrived in Moscow during the 16th century and received a warm welcome. Consequently, some of these Persian-style tiles still decorate Russia’s oldest churches, blending with local religious and artistic customs. He explained that culture continues to act as a bridge connecting Iran and Russia, which strengthens social and diplomatic ties.

In addition, the Russian Embassy contributed a variety of traditional Russian products and sweets to the bazaar. Gevorkyan stated that charity is highly valued in Russia, as it is in Iran. He confirmed that all funds from the Russian pavilion directly help Iranian charitable organizations. Last year, moreover, the embassy raised the highest amount among all participants and donated it to children’s charities.

Gevorkyan affirmed the embassy’s commitment to future participation. He also expressed hope that Iran Russia ties will continue growing stronger through upcoming bazaar events. In fact, such activities deepen humanitarian cooperation and strengthen cultural friendship.

By participating in the Diplomatic Ladies Association charity bazaar, Iran and Russia demonstrate that shared culture and mutual respect enhance bilateral relations. Therefore, combining diplomacy with humanitarian work helps support society and reinforces regional friendship.
