The tournament took place at the Olympic Sports Complex and attracted 986 athletes from 115 countries. Iran entered the competition with a 19-member squad, including 10 boys and 9 girls across 20 weight categories.

Iran taekwondo success became more visible as Hana Zarrinkamar delivered a strong performance in the girls’ +68 kg division. She defeated competitors from Greece, the Netherlands, Tunisia, and Croatia before winning the final against the Czech Republic with a dominant performance.

Iran taekwondo success also appeared in the boys’ -73 kg category through Benyamin Soltanian. He advanced through multiple rounds without dropping a single set. He overcame athletes from Greece, Bosnia, Mexico, Ukraine, and South Korea in the final.

Soltanian’s final match showed strong control and consistency. He secured the gold medal after maintaining a clear lead in each round. His performance added another top result for the Iranian team.

In the girls’ -42 kg category, Bahar Tahmasebi earned a bronze medal after a competitive series of matches. She defeated athletes from Egypt, Russia, Germany, and Spain before reaching the semifinals. Her journey ended after a close match against South Korea.

Earlier in the tournament, Mohammad Erfan Khodaei contributed to Iran’s medal tally in the boys’ -55 kg category. He won all his matches without losing a round and secured another gold medal for the team. Pinar Lotfizadeh also added a bronze medal in earlier rounds.

Iran taekwondo success reflects the country’s continued investment in youth sports development programs. Coaches highlighted improved preparation and international exposure as key factors behind recent performances.

Sports analysts note that strong junior-level results often indicate future senior-level competitiveness. They also emphasize the importance of consistent training infrastructure and international participation.

The Iranian delegation will continue competing in remaining weight categories over the next days. Officials expect additional opportunities for medals as the tournament progresses.

Iran taekwondo success at this championship highlights growing depth in both male and female divisions. The results also demonstrate balanced progress across multiple weight classes.

Future expectations remain focused on maintaining momentum and preparing athletes for senior international competitions. The federation aims to build on these performances for upcoming global events.
