Iran’s UN ambassador delivered a strong message to the Security Council, issuing a UN Charter Warning. He accused the United States of undermining international law and bypassing multilateral processes. The remarks came during a high-level debate on strengthening the rule of law and promoting international peace.

Saeed Iravani, Iran’s ambassador to the UN, stressed that the UN Charter is not optional. According to him, powerful states cannot pick and choose which rules to follow. He also claimed that recent U.S. actions aim to replace the authority of the UN with unilateral decisions.

The ambassador cited several U.S. policies, including threats of military action against Iran, support for violent groups inside the country, and withdrawal from UN bodies. He warned that these moves weaken multilateralism and endanger global peace. Civilian deaths in Iran were highlighted as direct consequences of these interventions.

Iravani further criticized U.S. actions in other regions, citing maritime blockades, abductions of foreign leaders, and repeated military threats. These measures, he argued, violate international law and the UN Charter. He warned that ignoring such violations damages the credibility of the Security Council and international norms.

He emphasized that threats of force and regime-change policies cannot continue without consequences. The Security Council must respond clearly, he said, to ensure that no country places itself above the law. Analysts note that repeated UN Charter Warning messages show Iran’s frustration with perceived double standards in global politics.

The debate at the UN also highlighted the importance of multilateral diplomacy. Iravani called for renewed respect for legal frameworks to prevent further escalation. Observers say the Security Council faces pressure to address allegations of unilateral aggression consistently and decisively.

In conclusion, Iran’s UN ambassador urged the international community to reaffirm the UN Charter’s authority. He stressed that peace, justice, and cooperation require all states to follow the law. His speech served as a reminder that violations of the UN Charter threaten global stability.
