Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed the nation in a televised interview. He urged citizens to distinguish between peaceful protests and violent rioters. While he affirmed that public protest is a legitimate right, he warned that violent acts that threaten lives, damage property, or disrupt social cohesion would not be tolerated. Speaking from Tehran, the Iranian President highlighted economic hardship as the main source of public frustration. Consequently, he pledged that his administration would tackle livelihood issues directly. Moreover, he promised reforms to support stability and equity across society.

Pezeshkian outlined steps to ensure fair distribution of subsidies. He stressed equality regardless of gender, race, or ethnicity. Additionally, he addressed demonstrations by merchants and bazaar traders. He confirmed that cabinet members listened carefully to complaints and invited representatives to participate in discussions. He also underlined that daily dialogue is essential to resolve problems and maintain public trust.

At the same time, the Iranian President criticized foreign actors for exploiting domestic economic difficulties. Specifically, he cited the United States and Israel as seeking to create unrest. He accused violent elements, some entering Iran from abroad, of committing acts including arson, attacks on markets, and killings. However, he stressed that these criminals do not represent ordinary Iranians. Furthermore, he condemned acts such as Quran desecration as deeply offensive.

The president also called for broader civic cooperation to fight corruption and promote transparency. In addition, he urged citizens, guilds, and industrial leaders to help strengthen national stability. Looking ahead, Pezeshkian announced immediate security measures to protect neighborhoods and public property. Meanwhile, he encouraged participation in pro-establishment rallies to reject violence and reinforce unity. The president concluded by promising continued reforms. He also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to dialogue.

Therefore, he emphasized that Iran would overcome its challenges through resilience and cooperation. The unrest has drawn international attention. Reports indicate casualties and arrests across several cities. Consequently, Pezeshkian’s remarks reflected the government’s dual strategy: engaging peacefully with legitimate protesters while confronting violent rioters to maintain order and stability.
