A senior Iranian lawmaker confirmed that US President Donald Trump sent a message to Iran. He delivered it through the Saudi Crown Prince. This message included three conditions for restarting Iran-US talks. Mojtaba Zolnouri, a member of Iran’s parliament, said none of the conditions made sense. He added that Iran will not accept them unless the United States shows real willingness to negotiate.

First, the US wants Iran to completely stop uranium enrichment. Second, they demand Iran stop supporting armed allies in the Middle East. Third, the US wants limits on Iran’s ballistic missile program. However, Iran rejects these conditions as impossible. Zolnouri explained that they would only talk if negotiations involve give and take.

He also mentioned that limiting Iran’s regional role is unfair. “If they stop our support in the region, they could dominate us quickly,” Zolnouri said. Furthermore, he added that Israel would weaken on its own without Iran’s resistance support. Zolnouri also questioned why the US wants Iran’s missile program reduced to only 300 kilometers. He argued that such demands are unreasonable and show no logic.

Meanwhile, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei commented on the matter. He said reports about Iran asking Saudi Arabia to mediate were false. Additionally, he added that contacting Trump directly would lower Iran’s dignity. In other developments, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Japan’s Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi. Araghchi emphasized that the US must restore Iran’s trust in diplomacy. He stressed that trust is the US’s responsibility.

Motegi encouraged early negotiations between the US and Iran. He also called for full cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency. Earlier this year, the US held five rounds of nuclear negotiations with Iran. Trump set a 60-day deadline. When no deal was reached by June 13, Israel launched a military attack. Consequently, the US followed with strikes on key Iranian nuclear sites in Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow.

Overall, Iran-US talks remain tense. Nevertheless, both sides continue to face challenges, and the world watches closely. The recent message from Trump shows that progress will require careful negotiation. Clearly, ongoing Iran-US talks will influence Middle East stability.
