Iranian official Ali Shamkhani issued a strong warning regarding any potential US attack. He explained that a US attack would mark the start of a full-scale war. Moreover, Shamkhani, a former secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, stated that Iran would respond immediately and decisively. Shamkhani shared his warning on his X account. He reacted strongly to recent statements by US President Donald Trump and the deployment of American forces to the region. Therefore, he insisted that a US attack should not be treated lightly. Instead, it represents a serious act of aggression against Iran.

He clarified that no strike could remain limited. “A limited strike is an illusion,” Shamkhani emphasized. He further warned that any US attack—from any location and at any level—would provoke a full Iranian response. Furthermore, Shamkhani promised that Iran’s reaction would be immediate, extensive, and unprecedented. He stressed that the retaliation would directly target the aggressor. In particular, Tel Aviv would face strong measures. Additionally, all supporters of the aggressor would encounter consequences.

Shamkhani also highlighted that escalation would not stay local. Any US attack could spark wider conflict across the region. Therefore, he urged caution and careful consideration by the United States. He insisted that any reckless action could trigger severe consequences. In addition, Shamkhani’s comments appear amid rising tensions in the Middle East. The US recently moved military forces closer to the region, increasing concerns of potential clashes. Analysts observe that Iran intends to send a clear signal: it will defend itself.

Moreover, experts note that repeated warnings like Shamkhani’s aim to deter aggressive moves. By emphasizing retaliation on Tel Aviv, Iran shows its capability and readiness. This warning also reminds the United States of the risks of escalation. In conclusion, Shamkhani stated that a US attack would change the situation drastically. Iran remains ready to respond swiftly and forcefully. He emphasized that any future US actions should consider this warning carefully, because they could provoke unpredictable and widespread consequences.
