Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf highlighted Iranian resilience during a ceremony honoring martyrs in North Khorasan. He stressed that Iran will neither surrender nor accept captivity under foreign threats. His remarks came as a reminder of the country’s longstanding commitment to independence and security.

Ghalibaf criticized regimes that use aggression to achieve territorial goals while presenting false peace deals. He called these actions harmful to civilians and dangerous for regional stability. He said Iran’s history shows the nation consistently resists attempts to undermine its sovereignty.

As a recent example of Iranian resilience, he cited June’s confrontation when foreign powers, including the United States, tried to carry out attacks on Iranian targets. The Iranian Armed Forces executed careful defensive operations to prevent infiltration and disruption. They also carried out successful retaliatory measures against repeated airstrikes, showing strategic planning and strength.

Ghalibaf emphasized that no other country in the region has faced such challenges over the past 80 years. Within days of Iran’s response, foreign powers sought ceasefires, illustrating the effectiveness of the nation’s approach. He also criticized the United States for promoting dialogue while preparing military strikes, highlighting the contradictions faced by Iran.

He further noted Iran’s steadfastness during the Iraq-imposed war in the 1980s. Iranian fighters never admitted defeat and always focused on achieving goals despite limited resources. Their courage and resourcefulness reflect Iranian resilience across generations.

The top legislator praised the sacrifices of thousands of martyrs since the Islamic Revolution in 1979. He said their dedication ensures Iran’s security, independence, and national dignity. He highlighted that these achievements are the result of a culture of martyrdom and collective commitment.

Ghalibaf concluded by urging citizens to remain united and vigilant. He stressed that Iranian resilience continues to define the nation’s strength, guiding it through current and future challenges. The message underscored the importance of honoring martyrs and protecting the country’s sovereignty.
