Young Iranian innovators secured the overall team championship at the World Future Championship 2026 in Malaysia. The Iranian robotics squad completely swept the competitive Prototype Challenge league, securing first, second, and third place. The international technology event took place from October 2 through 4 at Multimedia University’s Cyberjaya campus. More than 1,000 delegates, educators, and young participants gathered to compete across various advanced technology categories.
South Korea finished second in the final team standings, while host nation Malaysia captured third place. Competing teams represented numerous nations, including Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, and several other participating countries. The World Future Championship platform connects international youth with opportunities in artificial intelligence and autonomous robotics. Iranian students continue to demonstrate exceptional technical abilities at prestigious global science and technology competitions.
In recent global technology events, 22 Iranian competitors earned seven Medals for Excellence at WorldSkills. Participants achieved impressive international rankings across cybersecurity, cloud computing, mobile app development, and graphic design. Furthermore, Iranian youth teams performed exceptionally well at RobotChallenge 2026, hosted in Beijing earlier this year. Young participants secured notable second- and third-place finishes across multiple technical engineering categories.
Iranian programmers also dominated the Rayan 2025 international artificial intelligence competition by claiming the top seven spots. Simultaneously, young inventors captured three gold medals at the International Science and Invention Fair in Bali. Individual participants earned top honors across specialized biotechnology, educational technology, and engineering disciplines. These outstanding achievements highlight the expanding presence of young Iranian engineers in the global technology sector.
