Iranian official Mohsen Rezaee has issued a strong warning to the United States. He said any attack on Iranian infrastructure would paralyze and drown U.S. forces in the Persian Gulf. Rezaee, a senior member of Iran’s Expediency Discernment Council and a former IRGC commander, spoke during a televised interview. He warned that any strike would be a major mistake.

“If they make this mistake, we will paralyze them and drown them in the Persian Gulf,” Rezaei said. Furthermore, he demanded the lifting of all sanctions. Rezaee emphasized that Iran must receive compensation for damages. He insisted on binding guarantees to prevent future aggression. He stressed that no ceasefire will happen until these conditions are fully met.

The warning comes amid heightened tensions between Tehran, Washington, and regional governments. In addition, Rezaee cautioned Arab nations about threats extending beyond Iran’s borders. Recent Iranian military actions included missile and drone strikes targeting U.S. bases and allied positions. Therefore, the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz remain strategically critical.

Analysts warned that any disruption could affect global energy supplies. Nearly 20 percent of daily global oil exports pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Rezaee also criticized U.S. policies, arguing that Washington now follows a hostile regional agenda. He said the United States seeks to dominate Iran and the wider Middle East.

Economic implications remain significant. Analysts warned that rising tensions could push oil prices higher. Meanwhile, diplomatic channels remain open, but Iran insists on preconditions for talks. Military buildups and cyber operations continue across the region. Observers said Rezaei’s statements show Iran’s readiness for decisive action if provoked.

Rezaee highlighted the defensive nature of Iran’s response. He said Iran acts to safeguard its sovereignty and protect regional stability. Experts note that this escalation could reshape regional security. Moreover, Iran’s stance may influence U.S. allies and neighboring countries’ policies.

Energy markets and shipping industries remain alert. Analysts expect potential volatility in oil prices until diplomatic agreements or clear deterrence measures are confirmed. This underscores Iran’s firm posture, signaling Tehran’s seriousness and determination to protect national interests in the Persian Gulf
