Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that remarks from U.S. President Donald Trump directly shaped his UN address. Returning to Tehran following a five-day diplomatic trip to New York, Pezeshkian addressed domestic media representatives. He explained that learning about Trump’s public statements upon arrival prompted a firm and direct diplomatic defense. Consequently, the Iranian delegation adjusted its core messaging to counter the aggressive rhetoric presented on the global stage.

During his international visit, President Pezeshkian conducted extensive bilateral meetings with numerous world leaders and global officials. Specifically, he held talks with the presidents of Switzerland and Bangladesh, alongside the prime ministers of Lebanon, Pakistan, and Qatar. Additionally, the Iranian president met directly with the United Nations Secretary-General to discuss ongoing regional security developments. Throughout these diplomatic exchanges, Pezeshkian highlighted national concerns regarding military strikes hitting civilian populations and essential infrastructure.

To support their diplomatic outreach, the Iranian delegation distributed specialized informational booklets to attending international representatives. These distributed materials documented extensive physical damage resulting from joint American and Israeli military operations. Furthermore, Pezeshkian accused external powers of targeting Iranian scientists, educational institutions, and essential public utilities. Therefore, the delegation utilized the documentation to substantiate claims of illegal external aggression before foreign diplomats.

Looking forward, President Pezeshkian stressed the paramount importance of strengthening solidarity among neighboring Islamic nations. He warned regional governments against falling into divisive political traps manufactured by outside global powers. Furthermore, Iranian officials plan to continue diplomatic efforts aimed at fostering autonomous regional security cooperation frameworks. Moving forward, Tehran remains committed to defending its national interests while actively engaging surrounding partner states.
