Iran Condoles India Over Deadly Bus Crash in Saudi Arabia

Iran expressed deep sorrow over the deadly bus crash that killed dozens of Indian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. The accident occurred near Medina when a bus collided with a fuel tanker. The deadly bus crash shocked both India and the international community.

Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, extended heartfelt condolences to the Indian government and people. He also sent sympathies to the families of the victims. Baghaei prayed for divine mercy for those who lost their lives and wished a swift recovery for the injured.

At least 45 Indian pilgrims died in the deadly bus crash, and one person survived with injuries. Officials reported the accident took place around 1:30 am in the Mufrehat area, about 160 kilometers from Medina. Many of the victims were residents of Hyderabad.

The pilgrims were traveling for Umrah, a religious pilgrimage, when the bus collided with the tanker. Emergency teams responded quickly, providing assistance to survivors and transporting the injured to nearby hospitals. Authorities are now investigating the cause of the crash.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry emphasized its solidarity with India during this tragic time. Baghaei highlighted that Iran mourns the loss of life alongside the Indian government and people. This gesture reflects the importance of international support during such disasters.

The Indian government is working with Saudi authorities to help the families of the victims. Efforts include arranging medical care, assisting with identification, and coordinating repatriation of the deceased.
