Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called the recent Iran-US talks in Oman a positive step in nuclear diplomacy. He highlighted that Tehran prioritizes negotiations over coercion. Iran-US talks now focus on upholding international law and nuclear rights. President Pezeshkian said diplomacy remains Tehran’s main strategy to resolve disputes peacefully. He emphasized that Iran’s nuclear policy follows the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT). “Dialogue has always been our strategy for peaceful resolution. Our logic in nuclear matters is the rights enshrined in the NPT,” he said.

The Iranian president also stressed that Iran approaches discussions from a principled and legal perspective. “The Iranian nation has always responded to respect with respect, but it will not tolerate the language of force,” he added. Officials from both Iran and the United States met in Oman, with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi leading the Iranian delegation. Araghchi described the meetings as a positive start and said both capitals must consult before continuing.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump said the discussions went “very well” and confirmed that negotiators will hold a second round next week. Analysts suggest that continued dialogue could reduce tensions and build mutual trust. Iran-US talks come after months of stalled diplomacy and growing concern over nuclear developments. Experts note that progress in Oman could show willingness from both sides to compromise while maintaining national interests. Regional governments played a key role by facilitating the dialogue.

Observers monitor the negotiations closely because Iran’s nuclear program affects regional security. Analysts say that transparency and adherence to international law could influence global stability and energy markets. Both countries face domestic and international pressures that may shape the next steps. Officials indicate that the second round of talks will focus on clarifying key points and exploring practical steps for compliance. Observers emphasize that progress requires ongoing engagement, clear communication, and respect for agreements.

Iran-US talks represent a step forward in a complex and delicate diplomatic process. Their outcome could significantly affect regional security, influence broader global diplomacy, and shape long-term political and economic relations between Tehran and Washington. Analysts urge cautious optimism, noting that progress depends on careful planning, ongoing engagement, and clear communication. They also emphasize that sustained dialogue remains crucial to prevent misunderstandings, build trust, and create a framework for practical agreements in the future.
