The Bushehr plant continues electricity production safely despite repeated missile strikes nearby. Iranian authorities confirm the 1,000-megawatt facility remains fully operational. The plant consistently supports the national electricity grid while following strict international safety standards.

Officials from the Public Relations Office emphasized that operations remain stable and secure. “This major national facility feeds power into the national grid according to maximum international standards,” the statement said.

Since becoming operational 12 years ago, the facility has generated over 78 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity. This production helped reduce annual emissions of seven million tons of harmful gases. The plant has played a crucial role in meeting domestic energy demand while lowering Iran’s environmental impact.

In recent weeks, areas near the facility have faced multiple missile and aerial attacks. The latest strike occurred Saturday morning near Unit 1. Despite these incidents, authorities confirmed that electricity production continues uninterrupted. Iran’s nuclear agency has urged the International Atomic Energy Agency to condemn these strikes clearly.

Iranian officials stress the serious risks posed by military actions near civilian nuclear sites. They warn that any attack could cause radioactive contamination and significantly threaten regional security. The government continues calling for stronger international measures to protect nuclear facilities from external aggression.

Experts highlight that safeguarding plants like this is essential for energy stability, environmental protection, and regional safety. Authorities reaffirm Iran’s commitment to the peaceful and responsible use of nuclear energy. The government also continues advocating the right of nations to develop energy infrastructure without foreign interference.

Officials plan to maintain strict safety standards while engaging with international organizations. The Bushehr plant remains a symbol of Iran’s nuclear achievements, providing reliable electricity and lowering environmental impact. Operational safety remains a top priority for national authorities despite ongoing external threats.

The continued functionality of the Bushehr plant demonstrates the importance of protecting civilian nuclear facilities during conflicts. It also shows the country’s determination to meet energy needs safely. International attention remains critical to ensuring nuclear safety standards are respected.
