Iranian military more prepared than before for any potential foreign attack. The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters commander General Ali Abdollahi made this statement on Monday. He oversees Iran‘s war management and coordinates all armed forces. Specifically, Abdollahi said troops are now stronger compared to any previous period. Therefore, Iranian military more prepared than before to respond decisively to aggression.

The general warned that forces have their hands on the trigger at all times. He promised a fast, powerful, and widespread response to any renewed assault. Moreover, Abdollahi said enemies of the Iranian nation will face severe consequences. His remarks came just hours after a major U.S. policy shift. For context, President Donald Trump cancelled a planned large-scale military strike against Iran. Trump said regional leaders had requested that he halt the attack.

The American president announced this decision on Monday as well. He claimed the strike would have begun on Tuesday morning. Consequently, Iranian military more prepared than before regardless of Washington’s last-minute change. Analysts see Abdollahi‘s statement as a direct reaction to Trump’s announcement. In other words, Tehran wants to show it fears no external pressure.

Furthermore, the cancellation highlights rising tensions in the Persian Gulf region. The United States maintains several naval and air assets near Iranian borders. Meanwhile, Israel has also conducted covert operations inside Iranian territory recently. Despite this, Iranian military more prepared than before to defend its sovereignty. Abdollahi did not specify which enemy he was addressing directly. However, his message clearly targets the U.S. and its regional allies.

The general‘s statement carries important political and military implications. Diplomats may now struggle to restart nuclear negotiations under such conditions. Additionally, oil markets could see higher volatility due to ongoing threats. Shipping lanes near the Strait of Hormuz remain a flashpoint for any incident. For now, Iran projects strength while waiting for Washington’s next move. Future confrontations might involve cyber attacks or proxy warfare instead. Nevertheless, Iranian military more prepared than before according to official claims. The international community will watch for any actual military buildup in the coming days.
