The Iran national team arrived in the United States early Thursday morning to finalize preparations for a pivotal soccer fixture. Following their arrival at approximately 1:00 a.m. Tehran time, the players immediately began local training sessions. Consequently, the squad completed its second extensive tactical practice at the University of Washington athletic facilities in Seattle.

This training session included the entire delegation, consisting of 29 players and the full technical coaching staff. Although the Iranian Football Federation chose to keep the tactical details confidential, local media outlets captured extensive images of the session. Furthermore, team officials confirmed that the delegation will hold a final workout on Friday at the official tournament venue.

The upcoming weekend match remains crucial because the result will determine the team’s qualification status. Currently, Iran occupies a contested position in Group G after recording consecutive draws in its opening matches. The squad first played to a 2-2 draw against Egypt before registering a scoreless draw against Belgium.

While tournament organizers staged the opening group matches in Southern California, this final fixture will take place in the Pacific Northwest. This geographical shift requires significant travel across the country toward the northwestern border near Canada. Therefore, managing player fatigue and adapting to the cooler climate will represent major logistical challenges for the coaching staff.

The Egyptian delegation also enters the fixture under immense pressure, as both nations view the match as a historic opportunity. Ultimately, football analysts predict a highly disciplined defensive contest because a single goal could alter the entire tournament bracket. Moving forward, the Iranian squad intends to use its final tactical session to strengthen defensive organization and optimize counterattacking strategies.
