Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, has reaffirmed Iran’s support for Hezbollah in a letter to Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem. The message described support for the Lebanese resistance movement as a strategic mandate. It also outlined Tehran’s position on regional security and the ongoing conflict involving Lebanon.

The Khamenei Hezbollah letter came after Sheikh Naim Qassem sent a message reaffirming Hezbollah’s loyalty to Iran’s leadership. Consequently, the exchange highlighted the strong political and ideological relationship between Tehran and Hezbollah during a period of heightened regional tensions.

Khamenei praised Hezbollah for remaining steadfast during Israel’s military campaign. Moreover, he said the group’s resilience encouraged nations seeking freedom from foreign pressure. He added that continued determination would help achieve long-term political and strategic goals.

The Iranian leader also stated that Iran continues to follow the policies established by the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution. Therefore, he described support for Hezbollah as a lasting strategic responsibility. He further stressed that protecting Lebanon’s sovereignty remains an essential national priority.

According to the letter, any agreement to end the conflict should require a complete halt to Israeli military operations. Furthermore, Khamenei said Lebanon’s territorial integrity must remain a central condition before any lasting settlement can move forward.

The letter included religious references supporting perseverance during times of conflict. Meanwhile, Khamenei praised Hezbollah’s commanders and fighters for their dedication. He also honored those killed or injured and expressed support for displaced Lebanese families.

Iran and Hezbollah have maintained close political and strategic ties for decades. As a result, official statements from Tehran often attract regional and international attention. Analysts continue to monitor these developments because they influence security calculations across the Middle East.

The Khamenei Hezbollah letter reinforces Iran’s longstanding regional policy and signals continued cooperation with Hezbollah’s leadership. Meanwhile, governments and observers will closely watch future diplomatic efforts and security developments affecting Lebanon and the wider region.
