Sara Didar scored two vital goals on Sunday to propel Iranian football powerhouse Bam Khatoon into the elite group stage. The decisive 3-1 victory over Jordan’s Etihad Club secured the club’s third consecutive appearance in the continental tournament. Furthermore, the result allowed Bam Khatoon to finish atop Group E with seven points in the standings. Meanwhile, Etihad Club finished three points behind the Iranian leaders and missed the opportunity to advance further.

The Jordanian squad opened the scoring in the tenth minute after capitalizing on a quick defensive mistake. Carrie Consolino delivered a precise cutback pass to set up her charging teammate inside the penalty box. Leen Al-Btoush gathered the loose ball and curled a quick strike past goalkeeper Raha Yazdani. Consequently, Bam Khatoon faced an early disadvantage despite entering the match as the clear favorite.

The twelve-time Iranian domestic champions immediately launched continuous attacking moves in search of an equalizer. Eventually, Melika Motevalli floated an accurate cross toward Didar, who guided a looping header into the net. Bam Khatoon continued their dominant play in the second half and took complete control of the match. Shaban outpaced defender Alanoud Al-Zabrey along the left wing before steering her shot past the goalkeeper.

Didar then sealed the crucial victory in the seventy-sixth minute after collecting a fine pass from Dini. Running parallel to the goal line, Didar cleverly chipped the ball over the advancing goalkeeper to score. This dramatic result confirmed Bam Khatoon’s victory over Etihad Club and secured their qualification for the next stage.

The heated match ended on a chaotic note as tensions boiled over during the closing minutes. The referee issued four yellow cards following a fierce physical altercation between players from both teams. Despite the late disciplinary drama, the Iranian club successfully preserved its lead until the final whistle.
