Iranian weightlifter Mohammad Javad Beiranvand secured nine gold medals during the regional championships in Tashkent today. The sixteen year old athlete simultaneously shattered three world youth records in the men’s seventy five kilogram category. Consequently, his historic performance established a major milestone for Iran’s national youth sports program in international competition.

Beiranvand initiated his dominant record breaking performance by successfully lifting one hundred forty five kilograms in snatch. Furthermore, he executed an impressive clean and jerk lift of one hundred eighty kilograms shortly afterward. This phenomenal effort brought his combined total to three hundred twenty five kilograms across all technical lifts. Therefore, these three individual achievements created brand new world youth benchmarks across every single contested discipline.

Overlapping regional and age classifications enabled the young Iranian lifter to claim nine total gold medals. Specifically, judges tallied his winning attempts toward the youth, junior, and Central Asian standings simultaneously today. Meanwhile, teammate Reza Zamani earned Iran’s first championship gold medal within the youth seventy kilogram class. Additionally, Iranian lifter Mehrab Davaseri captured two valuable silver medals in the junior seventy kilogram division.

Iranian female athletes also achieved remarkable success by securing multiple podium finishes across various event divisions. Hajar Moeini Sadeh won one silver and two bronze medals within the youth sixty one kilogram category. Likewise, teammates Yalda Sharifi Sadeh and Maryam Keshtkar contributed additional medals to increase Iran’s total tally. Overall, the female lifters earned one silver and six bronze medals across regional classification standings.

The continental tournament gathered over three hundred young weightlifters representing twenty nine participating nations in Uzbekistan. Ultimately, sports analysts view Beiranvand’s record breaking performance as a bright sign for future international competitions.
