Iran and four other nations have launched talks to create a new Eurasia Charter. The Eurasia Charter will strengthen cooperation among these countries and guide their regional strategies. In addition, officials say the talks show a growing effort to align policies across Eurasia. The participating countries include Russia, Iran, Belarus, North Korea, and Myanmar. They will hold consultations to design the framework of the Eurasia Charter. Moreover, these talks will focus on shared principles and practical steps for collaboration.

Belarus’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that the charter process started after a proposal at a major international conference. Since then, officials have advanced the idea in several diplomatic meetings. As a result, the talks aim to develop a structured plan for cooperation. Earlier, Belarus and Russia finalized a document called “Joint Vision.” This document clearly defines principles that will guide the Eurasia Charter. It emphasizes multipolarity, the region’s strategic importance, and the creation of a new security framework. Additionally, it provides a roadmap for implementing agreements among participating countries.

Officials confirmed that future consultations will build on these foundations. They will discuss how to cooperate on political, economic, and security issues. Furthermore, the countries will explore ways to boost regional stability and strengthen their global influence. Analysts say the Eurasia Charter could reshape regional dynamics. They also highlight that the charter promotes cooperation, mutual respect, and shared responsibility. Therefore, each country expects to benefit from closer coordination on trade, security, and diplomatic initiatives.

While the process remains in the early stages, the Eurasia Charter reflects long-term ambitions. It demonstrates the countries’ desire to have a stronger role in global affairs. At the same time, they will continue negotiations and refine the charter framework in the coming months. The launch of these talks signals a clear commitment to regional collaboration. In addition, officials promise to maintain dialogue and shared decision-making. Ultimately, the Eurasia Charter may become a vital tool for governance across Eurasia and beyond.
