Iran and Oman Aim to Boost Trade to $5 Billion

Iran Oman trade is set to grow as Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref called for stronger ties with Oman. In a meeting with the Omani ambassador to Tehran, he discussed expanding bilateral trade. Currently, trade between the two countries is around $2.5 billion. Therefore, Aref emphasized the goal of raising it to $5 billion in the near future. He also noted that Iran and Oman share deep historical and cultural bonds. In addition, Aref highlighted that the relationship between Tehran and Muscat is based on mutual respect and constructive cooperation. Consequently, this positive connection could drive stronger economic and scientific collaboration.

Moreover, Aref praised Oman’s position on regional issues. He suggested that expanding cooperation in science and advanced technologies would benefit both countries. Furthermore, he expressed hope that trade and economic ties would grow steadily under this new vision. The Omani envoy in Tehran also spoke positively about the bilateral relationship. He underlined the commitment of senior officials in both countries to strengthen ties. In fact, he mentioned that the Sultan of Oman is keen to enhance cooperation across multiple sectors.

Iran Oman trade can reach higher levels, according to the envoy. He noted that both countries have strong potential to increase collaboration. Additionally, Oman supports Iran’s approach toward regional peace and stability, which reinforces trust between the nations. In addition, Aref pointed out the constructive role of Oman in fostering relations with Iran. He explained that the new term could accelerate development in various fields.
