Iran and Armenia are working to finalize a “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Document” to boost cooperation and strengthen regional ties. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian reaffirmed this commitment during a meeting with Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan in Tehran. President Pezeshkian said Iran will focus on developing regional corridors to improve trade, transport, and energy links. He emphasized that expanding cooperation in energy, transport, and infrastructure will benefit both countries.

“The development of regional corridors is a strategic goal for Iran,” Pezeshkian said. “We will strengthen our partnership with Armenia and implement previous agreements effectively,” Papikyan called the Iran-Armenia relationship strong and stable. He noted that the two countries have steadily expanded cooperation in multiple fields. “Our ties with Iran are growing, and we will continue to strengthen them in all areas,” the Armenian minister said.

The officials reviewed ongoing projects and plans in infrastructure, transport, and energy. They also discussed the agreements signed during Pezeshkian’s recent visit to Yerevan. Both leaders stressed the need to act on these agreements to benefit their nations. Analysts say Iran and Armenia share a strong interest in improving regional connectivity. Joint work on transport corridors and energy projects will enhance trade, improve infrastructure, and create economic opportunities.

The meeting shows Tehran and Yerevan’s commitment to deepening their strategic partnership. Officials expressed optimism that the partnership document would mark a new phase in cooperation, supporting stability and growth in the region. Beyond economic and infrastructure projects, the two countries plan to expand cultural, social, and defense-related exchanges. Both leaders agreed that continuous dialogue and joint planning will help achieve long-term goals. The talks underline Iran and Armenia’s shared interest in building strong regional partnerships. The Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Document will formalize these goals and guide future collaboration.
