Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps has warned that all logistical and service centers supporting the U.S. Ford carrier in the Red Sea are legitimate targets. Meanwhile, the aircraft carrier docks at Jeddah port in Saudi Arabia. Consequently, the IRGC’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters spokesman said the vessel poses a direct threat to Iran. The U.S. Ford carrier, America’s largest and most advanced supercarrier, entered the Red Sea on March 6. It transited the Suez Canal amid rising tensions following a U.S.-Israeli military operation against Iran on February 28. Recent satellite imagery shows the 100,000-ton vessel operating around 100 kilometers off Saudi Arabia’s coast.
